Community Services Traineeship Pilot Project

Access Australia Group are pleased to be able to offer young people in the Bendigo area an opportunity to gain a traineeship in the community services sector. This will enable a young person to start their career in a very rewarding and highly sort after industry. This is a pilot program offering 50 traineeships in the Bendigo region over the next 2 years.

A traineeship gives you the opportunity to work and train whilst getting paid and you get a qualification that is nationally recognised. This is a great opportunity to start your career in this dynamic growth industry.

We are now accepting applicants!

Are you:

  • Aged under 24?
  • Reside in Bendigo?
  • Don’t have any tertiary qualifications?
  • Not enrolled or engaged in any form of education, employment or training.
  • An Australian citizen;
  • a permanent resident; or
  • a person seeking asylum who holds a temporary visa with work entitlements

Employers could include youth services, homelessness services, education and employment, agencies supporting people in need or from Aboriginal or specific cultural backgrounds, health services, mental health, aged care, disability services, advocacy just to name a few.

This is a 12 month full time traineeship where you will be working with your employer 4 days per week and 1 day training at Tafe to complete your Certificate IV in Community Services.

Trainees and their employers will be supported by Access Australia Group’s ‘Youth Coach’ to give you additional support by working closely with you to support you to learn new skills and gain your qualification.

Become a Host Employer

Trainees can be employed in a variety of roles across the community services sector and are designed to build capacity in the community services sector and develop talent within your organisation.

Access Australia Group will work directly with the training provider and MAS National who will be completing the traineeship contracts as the Australian Apprenticeship Services Network (AASN) Provider.

Financial incentives and additional support are available to employers plus other commonwealth or state wage subsidy programs may be available.

Access Australia Group will support all employers to gain access to incentives that may be applicable and available for the trainee.
